Turning Down the Heat: Strengthening Couples Communication

A 6-week class for couples, designed to help participants learn skills for effectively managing conflict and difficult emotions and to strengthen communication through mutual vulnerability and openness.

This class is for you if you:

  • Have unproductive disagreements that don’t get resolved
  • Go around in circles with your communication, not getting anywhere
  • Get caught up in patterns where both of you escalate, or where one of you turns up the heat and the other one shuts down and exits
  • Have difficulty talking about a rocky incident productively after it has happened
  • Are feeling distant from each other and would like to feel closer
  • Have a strong relationship already and just need a tune-up
  • Or are experiencing significant difficulties in your relationship and would like to learn ways to turn around the downward spiral of negativity

Cost: $150 per couple per two-hour session

CApacity: 12 seats (6 couples)

There are six sessions. Total cost: $900 per couple, payable in two installments, half payable at registration or as of the first session and the other half payable at the fourth session.
