About Us

About the Calgary Couples Counselling Centre

Our goal is to help you build the relationship you desire

We offer hope and tools to help our clients manage conflict more effectively, communicate authentically, heal from infidelity, rebuild trust after betrayal, deepen both emotional intimacy and physical intimacy.

We understand the importance of creating a welcoming environment, backed by sound theory, research and practice that helps our clients to feel safe and understood.

We were filing for divorce after 20 years...and now we’re fighting for each other instead of with one another.

Our Team

Our therapists are passionate about helping couples improve the quality of their relationships.

Our counsellors are trained to use a combination of effective methods for working with couples, including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Developmental Couples Therapy, and Solution-Focused Couples Therapy to help you identify negative patterns of relating to each other, understand how these patterns affect your relationship, build on your strengths, and guide you through effective and practical steps to feel closer to each other, more deeply in love, and more like an intimate team!

Calgary Couples Counselling Centre Forms

Clinical Intake Form

Our current system allows you to complete the New Client Intake Form online. The PDF version on this page is only for situations where a new client at the Calgary Couples Counselling Centre is unable to complete the forms online. In such a case, you can download and print the form below (8 pages), fill it in, and bring it with you to your first appointment (if you are attending in-person).

There are several sections of the New Client Intake Form that we ask each new client to complete:

It should take about 10 minutes to complete this form. So that we can spend your session focusing on your concerns and not paperwork, we prefer that you fill it out before the start of the first session. If you are coming as a couple, each spouse should fill out a New Client Intake Form.

New Client Intake Form – Child & Family

Use this link instead of the above link, to complete the New Client Intake Form, if the counselling is for a child or youth under the age of 18, or if you are seeking family therapy and plan to have children or youth present in the sessions (there are additional consent forms to complete for child or family therapy). You do not need to complete this additional form if you are not seeking therapy for your child or family therapy with your children.

E-Therapy Informed Consent

If you will be engaging in video counselling, we have an additional Informed Consent form that needs to be signed. For clients who complete our intake forms online, the e-therapy informed consent is built in to the online form. If you are unable to complete the intake forms online, however, and prefer to print them off as a PDF and your therapy sessions will be conducted by video, please download, print and sign the additional E-Therapy Informed Consent form using the link below.
